There is an IBM Technical Report available which shows the BNF for GML
tags to describe a conceptual graph network.

Hurwitz, Alexander and Rich, William, _GML for Conceptual Graph Networks_
May 1993, TR 03.485

You should be able to order it from your local IBM Branch office or IBM
representative.  I may also be able to resurrect a machine readable copy
of the BNF.

I offer this as an example of what can be done and as a basis for
additional work.  It was complete a while back but may not be adequate
for use now.
