Recently in Japan's International Simposium on Fith Generation
Computer Systems 1994, at the W3 workshop in Heterogeneus Knowledge
Base Systems, 3 good papers were submited related with the combining
ontologies/thesauri/KRep topic:
1) Interoperation, Mediation, and Ontologies
Gio Wiederhold. Stanford University
Probably found at: URL http://ksl-web.stanford.edu/knowledge-sharing
Comments: For Ontology Integration it focusus on Limited Domain Sharing
and proposed an Domain-Knowledge-Base Algebra.
2) Globol Information Manegment via Local Autonomus Agents
Michael N. Huns, Munindar P. Singh, Tomaasz Ksiezyk MCC, Austin Texas
More information contact the authors at: huhns@mcc.com
Comments: Agent cooperation for diverse manegement information
envioronments. Enterprise information modelling doing
Semantic Integration via a Common Ontology. keyword:
Carnot Project.
3) Agent Comunication with Multiple Ontologies
Hideaki Takeda, Kenji Ino and Toyoaki Nishida NAIST, Japan
Autors at {takeda, kenji-i, nishida}@is.aist-nara.ac.jp
Comments: They model ontologies as a conbination of aspects wich means
integration of aspects or category aspects (choice of aspects). Therefore
dependency and translation of aspects is established. declaration of the
concepts stuctures of each agent is required.
Any later comments is welcome, and keep on this theme!!!
