Subject: communication and representation
I don't view the charter of the Interlingua committee to create a Ccode---I
think that it should be creating an Rcode. In my view the KR system
committe is definitely not in the business of creating an Rcode. A KR
system, even an abstract system specification, is much, much more (or much,
much less) than an Rcode.
I think that the current Interlingua makes neither a good Ccode nor a good
Rcode. If it is supposed to be a Ccode, then why is there all this stuff
about denotation and inference in it? If it is supposed to be an Rcode,
then why does it use quootation so extensively?
Perhaps there is some middle view---one that fits the current Interlingua
better.

PS: I think that this sort of issue needs much more discussion. Keep it
up, Pat! When is the movie coming out?
