Subject: Correction w.r.t 'otology'

Yes, of course I did mean  'ontology' everywhere where my message about
Pat Hayes' note reads 'otology'. I was not making the bold proposal that
automating knowledge in a computer system requires emualtion of the human
ear (nor the human mind, for that matter!). I did, however, get a new
word processor and its spellchecker did not have ontology, just otology, and
breezing through the document I just hit replace at some point. But the real
point is that my word processor blindly accepted that I really meant to be
talking about otology -- a subject I know even less about than ontology. If
word processors had conceptual schemas behind them containing knowledge
about domains like ontology and knowledge representation, they'd be smart
enough to know I really meant ontology and would have saved me from
making a 'dumb user error'!
