Solenoid controlled relays consist of two components, a switch and a solenoid. The switch either allows or prevents flow of current depending on its state. The state of the switch is controlled by the solenoid. In some types of solenoid-controlled relays, the solenoid opens the switch when it is actuated. In others, it closes the switch when it is actuated.
There are 10 types of bipolar transistors that may achieve the desired function, which is
